The Recreation Program offers a wide variety of activities during the regularly scheduled work day, after hours and on weekends.
Recreation activities during the work day include, an exercise class, individual activities, such as, golf, bowling or darts and organized team games such as basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, etc. The program also consists of many out-of-building activities such as roller-skating, bowling, golf and weekly community activities.
The program also offers a leisure room and adult basic education classes. The supervisor in the leisure room assists individuals with a variety of arts and crafts projects, table games and other leisure activities that are available. The adult education classroom offers many adult classes such as math, science, current events, etc. Classroom and leisure activities are planned weekly by both the Program Instructor and the Leisure Room Supervisor.
Outside of normal work hours a wide range of activities are offered on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Some of these activities include cooking class, computer class, pool, popcorn and a movie, arts and crafts, basketball, volleyball, softball and bowling.
