The 12th Annual Buddy Walk will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at ASPIRO at our 1660 Stiles Road location. This event is a great Down syndrome awareness event, as well as a great family event. Registration is at 9:00 am with the walks beginning at 10:00 am. A new concept was developed in 2007 – "Walk For Free" receive free registration & a free crewneck sweatshirt by raising $50 for individuals or $100 for a family of four (2 adults/2 children). We have a traditional 1.5 mile family walk and a 3 mile non-competitive walk. Other highlights are: Children's entertainer Randy Peterson, a DJ, free pony rides, Chili Cook-off with celebrity judges, a bake sale, family pictures by Dave Frank Photography, children's tattoos and face painting. With a paid registration you receive a free sweatshirt. Prizes are awarded for the top 3 chili cookers, as well as the top 3 pledge raisers and the largest walking group.
