ON FEBRUARY 28, 2023 OUR BUS FLEET WAS DESTROYED BY AN OVERNIGHT FIRE. ON THAT DAY AND IN THE DAYS AND WEEKS

that followed, our community embraced our organization with their support. We received immediate calls offering temporary transportation services.  Thank you to New Hope Center and Oneida Transit for helping us continue to our services.

Our community’s media outlets came together under the call and leadership of Don Snyder of Lamar Advertising. In an extraordinary display of unity, they collaborated on joint radio and TV PSA’s and outdoor billboards to share our story. Thank you, Don, and Lamar Advertising, WBAY, WFRV, Fox 11, Midwest Communications, Woodward Radio Group, Cumulus Media, and The Family Radio Network.

A GoFundMe page was set up and has received over $128,000 in donations. Businesses and individuals organized fundraisers to support the rebuilding process. With these gifts, along with insurance proceeds and generous donations from businesses and foundations we received last week, we are excited to announce that we have raised over $484,000 to fully replace our bus fleet. We have already started the procurement of our new vehicles.

On behalf of Aspiro and our clients, I want to share our heartfelt thanks to our donors, media partners and community for their incredible generosity to help us rebuild our fleet and come back stronger after a devastating loss. These buses are pivotal in our mission to connect our clients to their community.

- Nicole Hoffmann, VP of Development

WE KNOW THAT WITH THE NEWS OF THE FIRE AND ITS IMPACT ON OUR ORGANIZATION

people are still moved to help. We will use any additional funds over the purchase of the replacement vehicles for cameras and cat wraps to protect the new fleet when it arrives, gas and field trips, insurance and branding.
